Mourning Smith Wright, ca 1870.  She was the wife of John B Wright for whom Wrightsville

was named.  She was born 1 Feb 1812, died 2 June 1870.

Tintype of Green Layton, father of Mimmie Kittrell.  He operated a boardinghouse in town which was

across the street from Clayton Lord's home.  Ca 1870.

James Washington Flanders, ca 1900, Wrightsville,  He was born in Laurens County

4 July 1839.  During the Civil War he served in Company C, 2nd Regiment Georgia State Troops, then in

Company C, 57th Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry.  After the War he was a practicing physician in

Johnson County.  He died 29 May 1913.

The woman is Zilphia Walker Williams b. 19 Mar 1826 in Georgia. She is the daughter of
Henry Walker and Carity Fox.  She married Simon "Peter" Williams (Sr.) 9 Feb 1851. 
She died in Wrightsville Georgia. Mother of Henry L. Williams b. 1852, Jessie
E. Williams b 1854, Simon Peter Williams Jr. b. 1855, Elizabeth Williams Young
b. 1858, Braxton Williams b. 1860, and James L. Williams b. 1863.  Zilphia is
found in the 1850 census (Emanuel Co) with her parents. 1860 Census (Johnson
Co)with her husband Peter. 1870 census (Johnson Co.)with her children.  1880
