Harp Crain Family
The mother in this picture is Lula Pirkle Crain, wife of Harper Crain. Harp was murdered in Jackson County, GA. It is believed that Lula and the children eventually went to Texas.
The older daughter in this picture looks very much like the mother in the following picture from our 'Unknown' Photo Album.

Hunnicutt, Henry died at
about age 13. He was killed while he and his brother Frank were
playing with a rifle.

Sarah Ann Pettyjohn Gray
Sarah Ann Pettyjohn married Milford Gray in Jackson County, GA
January 2, 1842. Her nickname was "Candy Pig" because she kept
rock candy with her at all times. After the loss of her
husband she
lived with her son, Thomas Parks Gray until her own death. She was
the great grandmother of Melvin Gray. Both Sarah and Milford Gray
are buried in the Shakerag Cemetery in Milton County, GA.
