These old school pictures were sent to me by Thurmond Geeter.  Both pictures have the year 1939 written on them.  We know the tallest boy is George Otis Free.  Do you recognize the school or any of the other children?  We would appreciate any help you can give , Thanks,       Paulette       [email protected]     If you have any information of the Free or Webb families of Jackson County or other Northeast GA counties Mr. Geeter can be contacted at   P. When one of my mother's sisters died a while ago, her daughter in law received several pictures.  She recently gave some to me.  Included was this picture.  It appears to be a special occasion of some kind.  My sister and I have concluded that it was a wedding.  If you look at the man sitting on the far left, you will see that he has a woman's wedding band on his pinky finger, he also is wearing a flower.  Three women and 1 other man are also wearing flowers.  Does anyone know what the marriage customs were during the time?  Can anyone approximate a date by looking at the clothing and appearances of the people?  One man is holding a bible, the preacher I assume.  We believe that the families included in the picture may be Godfreys, Campbells, Hayes(Hays), Polk, ??  Does anyone look familiar?  Please contact Regina Boyce at [email protected]
