                            Mr. Rogers

     James A. (Lass) Rogers, 89, of Rt. 1 Gillsville died Sunday in the BJC Nursing Home following an extended illness.  He was born in Towns County, a son of the late Augusta and Lucinda Barnes Rogers.  he was a member of  the County Line Baptist Church of White County. 
     Surviving are his wife:  Mrs. Gertrude Ledford Rogers of the home, three daughters:  Mrs. Carson Segars and Mrs. Charlie Bennett both of Gillsville, Mrs. Fred Hulsey of Maysville, a son Wayne Rogers of Gainesville, a brother Dee Rogers of Cleveland, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. 
     funeral services were held at 2:30pm Tuesday at the County Line Baptist Church, White County by the Revs. Claude Hood and W. S. Morris.  Burial was in the Macedonia Cemetery. Ivie Funeral Home.
