Mr. Roy Roberts former editor of the Americus Times Recorder and the Athens Daily Times and for several years a feature writer for the Atlanta Constitution and the Atlanta Georgian, was found dead Monday afternoon in his room in an Atlanta hotel.  Mrs. Paul Dunehoo (Dunahoo), Fulton County coroner made a preliminary investigation Monday and expressed the opinion that he probably had died while asleep.

   Mr. Robert (Roberts) had been in failing health for several years and had been dismissed from the Veteran's Hospital only a week ago. One of Atlanta's pioneer radio news commentators, he was for several years radio news editor of the Constitution, handling several newscasts daily over WGST.

   Surviving are his mother: Mrs. Leila H. Robert (Roberts), 3 sisters: Mrs. Carolyn Hancock, Mrs. Beulah Colley and Mrs. Charles Stowell, and a brother G. W. Roberts of Jackson Miss. He was the grandson of the late D. L. Hancock and the late J. W. Robert (Roberts) both pioneer Jackson County citizens.

   His body was brought to Ebenezer Methodist church in this county for interment.
