  Mrs. John Roberts, daughter of Mr. W. M. Elrod of Jefferson, died at her home near Virgil, Apr. 9th.  The body of the deceased was buried at the Niblack cemetery Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock.  The large crowd present at the funeral was an evidence of the high esteem of her neighbors.  Mrs. Roberts left to mourn her death her husband and eight little children, one of whom was only a few hours old when she went away.  She was a member of the Methodist church, having joined when a child.  The funeral was conducted by Rev. G. D. Stone.
