  Mr. J. C. Oliver died last Thursday at 11 o'clock and was laid to rest in the Academy cemetery Friday.  Rev. J. C. Otwell of Gainesville preached the funeral.  Mr. Oliver was the oldest man in this community, he was nearing his 76 year.  He had been a member of the Baptist church 60 years.
