                            Mr. Lord

     Hope Lord, 70, of Route 3 Danielsville died Wednesday, July 19 at Athens General Hospital following an extended illness. 
     Services were held Saturday, July 22 at Providence Baptist Church with the Revs. Artice Anglin and Doug Echols officiating and burial in the church cemetery. 
     A native of Madison County, Mr. Lord was born on March 14, 1908, a son of the late Charlie and Nellie Haggard Lord.  He was a retired carpenter and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
     Surviving are his wife:  Fannie Jones Lord of the home, sons:  Henry Lord of Commerce, Leroy Lord and David Lord, both of Danielsville, daughters:  Evelyn Strickland and Carolyn Hardy, both of Commerce, sisters:  Mrs. G. O. Wright of Winterville, Mrs. Howard Matthews of Thomasville, NC, 19 grandchildren and 5 great granchildren. 
     Ivie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
