                            Lonnie Franklin Kitchens

 

Lonnie Franklin Kitchens, 84, of Commerce died Monday, Jan. 2, 1984; at Cedar
Hill Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Services were held today (Wednesday) at the Tommy Conn Memorial Chapel with
Rev. Ray Richardson officiating and burial was in Jackson Memorial Park.

A native of Jackson County, Mr. Kitchens was born Aug. 15, 1899, a son of the
late Sam and Josephine Ballenger Kitchens.  He was married to the late Annie Lacy
Kitchens and was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church.

He is survived by three sons, Jerry Kitchens, Commerce; Aubrey Kitchens, Auburn;
Frank Kitchens, Dublin; two daughters, Mary Jean Williamson, Colbert; Barbara
Ann Simonson, Iola, Wisc.; a sister Lillian Evans, Atlanta; 17 grandchildren and
22 great grandchildren.

Little Ward Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
