                            Mr. Gaddis

     Elmer Jackson Gaddis, 63, of Lee Street in Jefferson died Wednesday, May 10 at Athens General Hospital following a brief illness.
      Services were held Friday, May 12, at the Tommy Conn Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Walter Harper, Jr. officiating and interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
    A native of Jackson County Mr. Gaddis was born on July 14, 1914 a son of the late John and Jessie Carter Gaddis.  He was a member of Center Grove Baptist Church and was a retired employee of the Ga. Dept. of Transportation.
     Surviving are his wife:  Mary Lou Gee Gaddis, three brothers:  Wilson Gaddis, Oakwood, Woodrow Gaddis, Hoschton, Dewey Gaddis, Braselton, Four sisters:  Mellie Gaddis and Cora Lee Gaddis, both of Jefferson, Mrs. Jessie Hardy, Winder, Dessie Kelley, Lawrenceville.
     Little Ward Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
