BRASELTON

BRASELTON – Helen Ruth Collins, 76, died Sunday, April 29, 2012.


Born in Barrow County, she was the daughter of the late G.J. and Essie Allen Stinchcomb. She was retired from Landers and Smith and was a member of Braselton Church of God of Prophecy.

 Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Alton Collins; a son, Harold Dean Collins; and siblings, Joe Allen, Robert and A.J. (Junebug) Stinchcomb, and Runell Pursley.


Survivors include sons, Steve (Debbie) Collins, Braselton, and Lynn (Dena) Collins, Braselton; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Gene Stinchcomb, Tommy Stinchcomb and Randolph Stinchcomb, all of Winder, and W.L. (Bill) Stinchcomb, Watkinsville; and sisters, Lona Mae Sanders, Statham, and Martha Bell Garrett, Gradis.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 2, at 1 p.m. from the Braselton Church of God of Prophecy with the Revs. Danny Peek and T.E. Flowers officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Monday, April 30, and Tuesday, May 1, at the funeral home.
