MR. O. R. BENNETT, PUBLIC SERVICE OFFICIAL, PASSES
Mr. Oscar R. Bennett, vice chairman of the Georgia Public Service Commission, died Thursday morning at 2:30 at his residence, 516 West College Avenue, Decatur, after an illness of ten days. Mr. Bennett had suffered a serious about a year ago, but had improved in health recently, and his death was a shock to his friends and relatives.
The funeral service was held at the home of Mr. Bennett's son, Fred R. Bennett, in Eastman on Friday morning at 11 o'clock.
