Mr C F Bailey Died Monday
Mr. Cicero F. Bailey, aged 65 years, prominent merchant for years on Oconee street, died at his home, 198 Elbert street, at an early hour Monday morning from an illness lasting several months.
The funeral services will be held from Oconee Street Methodist church tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev. George Stone, assisted by Rev. W. Millican. The interment will be in Oconee cemetery, with Dorsey’s Funeral Directors in charge. The following members of the board of stewards of his church will act as pallbearers: Mr. N. A. Smith, M W. D. Morris, Mr. Edgar Eberhart, Mr. Roy Wilson, Mr. E. S. Kirk and Mr. H. G. Callahan. Mt. Vernon Lodge, F. and A. M., will have charge of the ceremonies at the grave.
Surviving Mr. Bailey are his devoted wife, Mrs. Florida Bailey; two sons, Charles B. and Allen Bailey, both at home; four daughters, Mrs. E.H. Underwood of Washington, GA, Misses Ethel, Flora and Annie Bailey, all at home.
As a young man Mr. Bailey with his wife moved to Athens from Jefferson, GA. Entering the mercantile business on Oconee street, where he has continued until recently, when his health failed and he was forced to retire. The family have a wide circle of friends who are grieved at his passing away.

Buried Tuesday
Funeral services for Mr. Cicero F. Bailey, who died at his home here Monday morning, were conducted from the Oconee Street Methodist church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. George Stone, assisted by Rev. Millican. Interment was in Oconee cemetery with Dorsey’s funeral directors in charge.
