"Family Bible of Thomas L. Moon and Gollie Marie Sikes"

  Thomas L. Moon, born August 18,1895, in Hoschton, Ga., Jackson County, married Gollie Marie Sikes, born September 7,1897, in Hoschton, Ga., Jackson County.

 Children of Thomas L. Moon and Gollie Marie Sikes are:

1. Mildred Marie Moon, born June 27,1916, in Jackson County, Ga. Died March 29,1917 in Jackson County, Ga. She is buried in an unmarked grave in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Brazelton, Ga., Jackson, County. 

2. Thomas William Moon, born August 26,1918, in Jackson County, Ga., died about age 5 of Diphtheria.  He is buried in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in an unmarked grave.

3. Wilbur Horace Moon, born May 30,1923, died August 9,1990 in Auburn Ala., buried in College Park Cemetery, College Park, Ga.

4. Charles Samuel Moon, born September 6,1926, died April 1,1997.  He is buried in College Park Cemetery College Park, Ga. 

Note:  Wilbur Horace Moon and Charles Samuel Moon, changed their last names as children to their step- father's, Homer Roy Norton's, last name because he raised them.  They changed their names to Wilbur Horace Norton and Charles Samuel Norton. 

Homer Roy Norton was born September 7,1900, in Cedartown, Ga., son of Cebe Norton, born in Rome Ga. and Sally Dooley, born in Cedartown, Ga. Homer Roy Norton  died  December 2,1969 in the VA hospital in Atlanta, Ga. He was a WWI Veteran and retired from the US Army.  He and Gollie are buried in College Park, Cemetery, College Park, Ga., Fulton County. She died July 12,1993, in Fulton County, Ga.
 
Homer Roy Norton, and Gollie Marie Sikes adopted a daughter at age 4, Wilma Nell Norton born June 19,1936 in Jackson County, Ga.
