This indenture made this the thirteenth day of May eighteen
hundred forty two between Duncan Mc Vicker of the
before said state and county of the one part and Abednago
Ogletree of the said state and county of the other part
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of two hundred
dollars to me in hand paid by Abednago Ogletree on
or before the signing sealing and delivering of the same
the receipt whereby acknowledged have bargained sold and
conveyed unto the said Ogletree all that parcel of
land it being fifty acres being part of lot number one hundred &
eighty in the south west corner of said lot it being in
the second district of Henry county together with with all
and singular the rights and appurtenances thereunto the
said A. Ogletree his heirs and assigns forever in
fee simple and I the said Duncan Mc Vicker do bind
my self my heirs and assigns to warrant and defend the before
described premises unto the said Abednago Ogletree
his heirs and assigns forever against myself my heirs and
all other person or persons whatsoever in witness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above
written in presence of

Starr to Heirs of Francis H. Ogletree [decd]
Written: August 3, 1830 Recorded: May 28, 1831
Georgia Wilks County This indenture made this third
day of August in the year of our lord One Thousand Eight
Hundred and Thirty; between Benj. Star of the County of
Wilks and State aforesaid of the one part and John G. Ogletree
, Samuel Ogletree , Hope Ogletree, Thomas Ogletree, Pierce
Ogletree, Absalom Ogletree ,James, and the heirs of Francis
H. Ogletree diseased all of the other part ; Witnesseth
that the said Benj. Starr for and in consideration of the
sum of two hundred and fifty-six dollars to him in hand
paid by the above named family of children at or before
the siging of these presents, the receipt hearof is hereby
acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold unto the above
named family of Ogletree’s their heirs and assigns. Eighty
seven acres of land situate in the fourth district of Henry
now Fayette County it being apart of lot No. one hundred
and forty-seven in the fourth district of Henry now Fayette
County. To have and to hold the said Eighty-seven acres
of said lot of land with all and singular the members
and appurtenances thereof whatsoever unto the above named
family of Ogletree’s their heirs and assigns to their own
proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee simple: and
the said Benj, Starr for himself his heirs and assigns the
said bargained land and premises will forever warrant and
defend the right and title thereof from himself his heirs
Executors and administrators and from every other person
or persons whatsoever unto the said John G. Ogletree, Samuel,
Hope, Thomas ,Pierce, Absolom, James and the heirs of
Francis H. Ogletree their executors & C. In Witness
hearof the said Benj. Starr hath hereunto set his hand and
affixed his seal the day and year first above written.
