This indenture made this the Eleventh day of October in the year of
our Lord one thousand and thirty three, between James Harkness of
the one part and Alfred Bankston of the other part, witnesseth that
the said James Harkness, for and in consideration of the sum of Two
hundred and twenty five dollars in hand paid the receipt, whereof is
hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained and sold and doth by
these presents grant, bargain and sell unto the said Alfred
Bankston, his heirs and assigns, the undivided half of Lot No.
77,(seventy seven) in the first district of originally Henry, now
Butts County, containing one hundred and one acres, more or less,
there being a school house on said tract of land one fourth of an
acre reserved for said school house so long as said house stands and
then to go to Bankston and his heirs, said tract of land being the
east half. To have and to hold, with all and singular the rights
members and
appurtenances , to the said Alfred and his heirs and assigns, and
the said James, doth by these presents warrant and forever defend
from himself and his heirs and assigns and from all other persons to
the said Alfred, and his heirs and assigns forever due fee simple.
In witness whereof the said James Harkness, hath hereunto set his
hand and seal, the day and date above written, signed sealed and
delivered in the presence of the

STATE of GEORGIA – Butts County
This indenture made the first day of September in the year of our
Lord One
thousand eight hundred and fifty six between George R. Lewis of the
county of
Butts and State of Georgia of the one part and Alfred Bankston of
the county of
Butts and State of Georgia of the other part. Witnesseth that the
said George
R. Lewis for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and
twenty five
dollars in hand paid at and before the sealing and deliver of these
presents
the receipt whereof whereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold
and
conveyed and by these presents do grant bargain sale and convey unto
the said
Alfred Bankston his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of
land the
south half of lot of land number one hundred and forty in the second
district
of originally Henry, now Butts county containing one hundred and one
and a
fourth acres, more or less to have and to hold said tract or parcel
of land
unto him the said Alfred Bankston his heirs and assigns together
with all and
singular the rights ________ revisions rents profits and
appurtenances thereof
to the land in any manner belonging to him and their own proper use.
Benefits
and behoof for use in fee simple and the said George R. Lewis his
heirs
executor and administrator the said bargained and described land
unto the said
Alfred Bankston his heirs executors and administrators and assigns
will warrant
and for ever defend the right and the title thereof against them
selves and
against the claim of all and any other person or persons whomsoever
in witness
where of the said George R. Lewis hath hereunto set his hand and
seal the day
and year above written.

Roland Williams to John

This indenture made this fifteenth day of September in the year of
our Lord
Eighteen Hundred and Twenty Four and in the forty ninth year of the
independence of the United States of America between Roland Williams
of the
County of Henry of the one part and John Bankston of the County
aforesaid of
the other part. Witnesseth that the said Roland Williams for and in
consideration of the sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid
at or
before the delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened conveys and
confirms and by
these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, convey and confirm to
the said
John Bankston, his heirs and assigns. Fifty acres of land lying in a
square in
the ninth district corner of that Lot of Land known by No. Fifty,
situate with
Ninth District, of Henry County lying and being on the waters of
yellow water
creek to have and to hold the said parcel of land together with all
and
singular the rights, members and appurtenances with the remainder
and
remainders, revision and revisions rights, issues and profits
thereof to the
only proper use benefit and behoof of him the said John Bankston,
his kin and
assigns.
In fee simple and the said Roland Williams, his heirs and assigns
the said
bargained land and premise unto the said John Bankston his heirs and
assigns
against the said Roland Williams hath hereunto set his hand and
affixed his
seal the day and year first above written.

GEORGIA – Butts County
This indenture made and entered into this the tenth day of November
in the year
of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and thirty eight. Between Jane B. Tyson
of one
part and Alfred Bankston of the other part both of the County and
State
aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said Jane B. Tyson for and in
consideration of
the sum of four hundred dollars to her in hand paid at and before
the sealing
and delivery of these presents the receipt wherereof is hereby
acknowledged
hath granted bargained and sold and doth by these presents grant
bargain sell
and convey unto the said Alfred Bankston his heirs and assigns all
that tract
or parcel of land situate lying and being in the second district of
originally
Henry now Butts County. The county line running through the same
know(? )and
distinguishes in the plain(?) of said district by lot number one
hundred and
twenty nine containing two hundred two and a half acres more or less
to have
and to hold thee aforesaid parcel of land with all and singular the
rights
members and appurtenance thereto beginning for his and their own
assign use
benefit and behoof forever in fee simple. And the said Jane B. Tyson
for
herself her heirs and assigns the said bargained tract or parcel of
land shall
and will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof to
the said
Alfred Bankston from the claims of herself and from the claims of
all and every
other person or persons whatever. In witness whereof the said Jane
P. Tyson
hath hereunto set her hand and affixed her seal this day and year

written.
