Join Buchanan Mayor Jason Jarrell and Mayor-elect Benjamin Biggers for a dignitary-studded and gala celebration of the municipality's 150th anniversary between 1:30 and 2:30pm on SUNDAY, December 23, 2007 at the Historic Courthouse in the city square. Seating starts 1:00pm.

The festivities will feature music, maps, photographs and more - as well as brief narratives - recalling the history of Buchanan.

A copy of the original 1857 town charter will be unveiled and 19th century costume interpretations will clothe our hospitality staff.

Free refreshments will include birthday cake and punch. Why not charge up your batteries before you do your last-minute holiday shopping and wish Buchanan a happy 150th!
