This Indenture made this the 12th day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & seventy between Nancy Stanton of the county and state of the first part and the said James E. Berry of the same county and state of the second part. Witnesseth that the said Nancy E. Stanton for and in consideration of the sum of forty dollars to her in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened & conveyed & doth by these presents grant bargain sell alien and convey unto the said James E. Berry his heirs and assigns that lot or parcel of land lying & being in said county on the waters of Drawhorn Creek known as Lick branch adjoining land of said Berry and bounded as follows, commencing at a Maple stump on the said Drawhorn Creek, thence S 48 E 13 to a Po corner, thence N 1/c
E 16.30 to a sweet gum corner on said creek, thence along the meander of said Creek to the beginning corner and containing eight acres more or less.
