(The records show at various places this man’s rank as Jr. 2nd Lieutenant, 2nd Lieutenant, and 1st Lieutenant the same date.)

Ferguaon, Jasper N. Enlisted in Infantry Battalion, Smith’s Legion, Georgia Volunteers., February 15, 1863. Transferred to Co. I, 65th Regiment Georgia Infantry, March 1863. Appointed 1st Sergeant March 9, 1863. Transferred to Co. K, in exchange for F. C. Sorrow, May 1, 1863. Appointed company ordnance sergeant. Deserted at Chattanooga, Tennessee, July 3, 1863. Reduced to Private. Rejoined from desertion November 10, 1863, and placed under arrest. Deserted, never having returned from furlough. Dropped from roll April 4, 1864.

Allison, Richard - Private in Infantry Battalion, Smith’s Legion, Georgia Volunteers., February 19, 1863. Transferred to Co. I, 65th Regiment Georgia Infantry, March 1863. In Loudon, Tennessee, hospital, April 10, 1863; Atlanta, Georgia, hospital, June 28, 1863. Furloughed for 30 days July 30, 1863. In Knoxville, Tennessee, hospital, August 1, 1863. Died at his home in White Co., Georgia, October 23, 1863.

Bennett, Abel M. (or Abram or Abraham M.) - Private March 22, 1863. Deserted December 8, 1863. Captured at Marietta, Georgia, June 15, 1864, and sent to Louisville, Ky., prison. Forwarded to Rock Island, Illinois, prison, June 22, 1864, where he was confined until released October 13, 1864, to join U. S. Forces. Enlisted as a Private  in Co. A, 3rd Regiment U. S. Volunteers,  October 13, 1864. Deserted October 27, 1865. Never returned to command although it remained in service until November 29, 1865.
