Gastley..$200 Land Lots 1 & ? in the 10th Dist.; Beginning hickory tree on the south side of main road leading from Clarkesville to Nacoochee  about three-fourths of a mile from Clarkesville thence along said road 16 chains to a stone near Beaver Dam Creek thence N 63 E 2 chains thence N 25 E 8 chains and 40 links to a stone on the first line between the 10th and 11th district of said county thence N 60 E 12 Chains and 56 links to a stone on said Dist line thence S 34 E 36 chains and 40 links to the place of beginning containing 55.39 acres more or less being parts of lots 1 and __?__ in the 10th District ..described in the plat above.  John Gastley by his mark; Witnessed Mastine Feuller, J.H. Hawkins to Thomas J. Gastley August 16, 1877. Recorded July 17, 1903

McIntyre, Mary A. to Thomas J. Gastley that for and in consideration of natural love and affection, together with the additional consideration that my father, John Gastley, in his life time Deeded me a certain piece of property being the place whereon I now reside, out of his estate, upon the understanding that this was to be taken in full for all interest inherited by me from his estate, and that my brother, Thomas J. Gastley, was to have the   place hereinafter described as part of the said estate, together with the consideration that the said Thomas J. Gastley, was to take care of and maintain my two imbecile brothers, John and Jake Gastley during their life and whereas my father, John Gastley, died with out making my brother, Thomas J. Gastley a Deed to said land as was his intention and whereas my said brother did take care of and maintained my brother John Gastley after my fathers death, up to the time of his the said John Gastley death and has cared for and maintained and is still caring for and maintaining my brother Jake Gastley.  All my rights present or future interest inherited from my father John Gastley, my brother John Gastley or from my brother Jake Gastley should I survive him….beings parts of lots of land No. 1, 2, and 18 in the land dist 10 containing 250 acres more or less and being more fully described in a Deed from John H. Wyley and John W.J. Underwood executors of James R. Wyley to John Gastley and recorded in records of Deeds in clerk office BK T pages 3 &4; and in Deed from C.H. Sutton to John Gastley recorded BK V pages 473 & 474, and in a Deed from M.A. Bumstead to John .Gastley recorded BK GG page 777 and John J. Chitwood to John Gastley recorded in BK P pages 260-261… all the land described in said deeds except 55 and a fraction acres off said track conveyed to Thomas J. Gastley by John Gastley before his death and recorded in BK BB page 526-527.  This being all the land owned by my father at the time of his death and being the land whereon my brother, the said Thomas J. Gastley now resides.
