The Court met on the 2nd Monday in January 1863 and there being no
business adjourned until 2nd Monday in Febry next.
February Term 1863
The Court met to day Monday the 4th Feby and there being no business
adjourned until the 1st Monday in March 1863
March Term Court Ordering 1863
Malissa Whitfield having ____ made application to this Court for
Sellers of Administration upon the Estate of Ray Whitfield deceased
late of said County, And whereas the usual citation required by law:
having been published in the “Southern Watchman” a public Gazette of
this state and she having required with all the other _____ of the
law. It is hereby ordered that Sellers of Administration do issue to
Malissa Whitfield as administration of said Estate.
I Malissa Whitfield do sollemly swear that Ray Whitfield deceased
died without any will so far as I know or believe. And that I will
well and truly administer on all and singular the goods Chattels
rights and Credits of said deceased: And pay all his just debts so
far as the same will extend and the law charge me And that I will
make on Cause to the be made a time and perfect inventory of all and
singular the goods and chattels rights and credits of said deceased
And a just return thereof when thereunto required so help me “God”.

Whereas, Malissa Whitfield having published for two months notice in
the Southern Watchman a public Gazette of this state, that she
intended to apply at this Term of Court, for an order to sell the
lands belonging to the Estate of Ray Whitfield decd. And whereas, no
legal objection of file or otherwise having been shown. It is hereby
ordered that said leave be granted. After her advertising the sale
of the sums duly __ as prescribed by law

Whereas Malissa Whitfield administrator of the Estate of Ray
Whitfield Decd having petitioned in terms of the law for letter of
Dismission as administrator of the estate of Ray Whitfield decd on
the twelfth day of Sept 1866 which ____(marked out)________ words
of said Court and is of file in my office, And citation knowing
been regularly published in __ months in the Southern Watchman and
no objection having been shown. It is hereby ordered after a ____
examination of the affairs of said Estate that said petitioner
Malissa Whitfield is discharged dismissed and released from all
liabilities and further administration ___ said estate.

Whereas, Malissa Whitfield administrator of the estate of Ray
Whitfield deceased, having petitioned in Terms of the law, for ___
of Dismission as said Adm. on the 12th day Sept. 1866. Which
petition appears on the record of said Court. And is of file in my
office. And citation having been regularly published for six months
in the Southern Watchman. And no objection having been shown it is
hereby ordered after a strict examination into the affairs of said
Estate that she be discharged dismissed and released from all
further liabilities as said administrator.
