Guardianship of John T. Hackett, 1848

Habersham County, Georgia –Court of Ordinary July Term 1848 – page 337

It appearing to the Court that John T. Hackett a minor and orphan of Robert Hackett late of said County deceased, is seized and possesed of a considerable Estate in his own right, and has no gurardian, and the Said John T. Hackett being over the age of fourteen years, makes choice of Natahn T. Taber as his Guardian. It is therefore ordered
by the Court that the Said Nathan T. Tabor be and he is hereby appointed Guardian of the Said John T. Hackett upon his giving Bond & Security in the sum of seven thousand dollars, and taking & subscribing the oath in such case made & provided, and that the Clerk of this Court do issue letters of Guardianship accordingly.
