Mrs. Sallie Pack
Mrs. Sallie Pack, 95, of 683 U.S.
Highway 411 North, Ranger, died Saturday, April 4, 2003 at the
family residence following declining health. Mrs. Pack was
born on Jan. 16, 1908 in Gordon County, daughter of the late
George and Laura Wyatt Shipman. She was preceded in
death by her husband Fletcher Pack, a son, James
Pack, five brothers, and two sisters. Mrs. Pack was a
member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include six daughters, Agnes
Frances of Monticello, Dimple Tanner of Morrow,
Aliene Yancey of Ranger, Jennie Lee Tanner of
Ranger, Jo Dixon of Dalton, and Nancy Waters of
Chatsworth; and four sons, Clyde Pack of Fairmount,
Lee Pack of Ellijay, Truman Pack of Douglasville,
and Frank Pack of Calhoun. A host of grandchildren and
great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday,
April 6, from the Bradley Anderson Memorial Chapel of Max
Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Earnest Channell
officiating. Singing was arranged by Donald Hopper.
Interment was held in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers were Randy Tanner,
Michael Yancey, Tom Yancey, Joshua Pack, Tony Pack, Edward
Darnell and Eddie Pack.
Max Brannon and Son Funeral Home of Calhoun
was in charge of arrangements.
