Daniel B. Wynne, 83, of 4266-B Alabama Highway, N.W., died Saturday evening at a Rome hospital after a short illness. Mr. Wynne was born in Albany, July 8, 1908, son of the late J.D. Wynne and Mattie Sumner Wynne. He had been a resident of Floyd County since 1951, having moved from Turner County. He was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and, before retirement, he was employed by Plant Hammond as an operation engineer. Survivors include: his wife, Evelyn Dill Headrick Wynne, to whom he married June 16, 1973; two stepsons, James Headrick and Gerald Headrick, both of Rome; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Bobby Conine, Huntsville, Ala. and Mrs. Horace Sherrod, Greenville, Fla.; four brothers, Edgar Wynne, Live Oak, Fla., T.J. Wynne, Adel, John E. Wynne, Quitman, and James H. Wynne, McCleney, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Louise Eldridge, Boston, Mrs. Evelyn Bonney, Virginia Beach, Va., and Mrs. Nadine Morgan, Jacksonville, Fla.; several step grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at West Oak Chapel with the Rev. Dale Fincher officiating. Interment will be at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
