Rome News Tribune August 27, 1928
Mrs. Lillian Wilson, aged 34, beloved resident of Texas Valley, died Saturday
night at Milledgeville, after an illness of many months. Mrs. Wilson has scores of
friends, who were grieved by her poor health, and much sadness was occasioned by her
death.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Sand Springs Baptist church
and interment was in the adjoining cemetery. The services were conducted by the Rev.
Willie Cordle and the Rev. J. Hicks.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband, W. J. Wilson; a daughter, Vivian Wilson,
and a son, Gordon Wilson. Her father and mother, Mrs. and Mrs. M. C. Green, two
sisters and a brother, Mrs. G.W. Boggs, and Mrs. A. C. Wilson and H. C. Green, all
of Texas Valley also survive. M. O. Green of Rome also is her brother.
