Rites Today for Mrs. Wilson, 67
Mrs. Beulah King Wilson, 67, a life-long resident of Floyd County, died
at her residence on Summerville Road at 11:30 Friday night following an
illness of several years.
Mrs. Wilson was born in Rome, December 30, 1876, the daughter of the late
Jasper and Margaret Reeves King, pioneer citizens of Georgia. She was a
devoted Christian and mother and had been a member of the Armuchee Methodist
Church since early womanhood.
Surviving are the husband, William Henry Wilson; three daughters, Mrs. J.
D. Yarbrough, Rome; Mrs. Guy Davis, Cohutta, Ga.; and Miss Jewell Wilson,
Armuchee; four sons, Austin C. Wilson, Manor, (Macon) Ga.; W. J. Lester and
Uclaugh Wilson all of Rome; two brothers, J.F. King Rome, and T.W. King,
Summerville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock this afternoon at the Sand
Springs Baptist Church, the Rev. J.B. Ward, the Rev. Reuben Baxter and the
Rev. Guy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Sand Springs Cemetery. The
body will lie in state at the residence until time for the funeral.
Pallbearers will be V. G. Owen, C. E. Morrison, E. G. Hawkins, Mack
Tudor, Coy Towns, G. C. Peterson.
