W. B. Willis, Armuchee, Dies
Son of the late William Newton and Martha Adams Willis, he was born June 11, 1884 in Floyd County and had spent his entire life here.
The survivors include one son, William C. Willis, of Armuchee; three daughters, Mrs. Paul McWhorter of Chattanooga, Mrs. S. J. Falzone of Washington,
D.C., and Miss Martha Willis, of Birmingham; two brothers, J.F. and J. C. Willis of Rome; four sisters, Mrs. S.L. Elrod of Armuchee, Mrs. G.L. Bailey of
Rome; Mrs. J.E. Stanford of Atlanta, Mrs. J.P. Bridges of Rome, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. The Rev. W. F. Conn and the Rev. H.F. Joyner will
conduct the services. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the residence.
Pallbearers, who are asked to meet at the residence, are Sam Rhinehart, G.W. Scoggins, Bill Salmon, Alex Lindsey, J. O. Thornton and D. B. Broome.
