Funeral Thursday For Mrs. M. N. Willis
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha N. Willis, 77, were held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, North. The Rev. H. G.
Garrett and the Rev. H. F. Joyner officiated, with interment in Pleasant Valley cemetery.
A quartette composed of J. W. Davis, T. Phelps, Clifford Russell and Mrs. Paul Simmons sang "Rock of Ages", "Sweet Bye and Bye" and "Abide With Me". Mrs.
T. Phelps accompanied at the piano.
Mrs. Willis, widow of the late W. M. Willis, died at noon Wednesday at her residence on the Old Dalton Road. She had been in declining health for several
years and her condition became serious two weeks ago. She had been a resident of Floyd County since childhood, and was a devoted member of the Armuchee
Methodist Church.
