Death of Mrs. M. J. Williams
Mrs. M. J. Williams died here at her home on Butler street Friday morning at
7:15 o'clock after a long illness, her death not being unexpected. She is
survived by three daughters and five sons. They are Mrs. James Martin and Mrs.
A.J. Tarvin, of Ohatchee, Ala., and Miss Mae Williams, of Rome,and M.F., S.E.,
F.L., L.M. and T. Williams. Mrs. Williams was a most estimable woman and her
death will cause much sorrow among a wide circle of friends. Brief funeral
services will be conducted from the residence this morning at 7:15 o'clock, and
the body will be taken to Bethel, Ala., for interment. The pallbearers will be
F.M. Irwin, Dudley Magruder, Geston Garner, C.O. Walden, Oscar Minace and M.S.
Lanier and they are requested to meet at the Daniel undertaking parlors this
morning at 7 o'clock.
