Joseph B. Watters, one of the leading clothing merchants of Rome,died last
night shortly before midnight at his home in the fourth ward, from Bright's
disease. For several weeks he had been in feeble health and the end was
expected. Mr. Watters was fifty-two years of age and was born in Franklin
county. He had resided in Floyd county thirty-five years and in Rome twenty
years.He was a modest,unassuming gentleman,and known as an energetic,
successful business man. He leaves a widow and three children--Messrs Allie and
Crampton and Miss Lucille Watters. The funeral wil take place tomorrow morning.
