Ralph Vaughn Wallace Dies At De Soto Park
The many friends of Ralph V. Wallace will be much grieved to learn of his death which occurred yesterday afternoon about 1:30, at his home near DeSoto park after a brief illness of two weeks.
He was a fine specimen of manood, altho he would not be 16 years of age until August 3, 1914. He was associated with his father in the grocery business near DeSoto Park. He was a bright young man-with a strong moral character, the kind of material that makes good men. He will be greatly missed by his many friends who deeply sympathize with his father and family consisting of his mother, one sister, Mae, and three brothers, Smiley, Clarence, Norman and Rosser. He was not a member of the church, but only a few days ago told his father he was prepared to die and for them not to worry about him, for he was safe.
The funeral will be held today at 3 p.m. at Bush Arbor church and the burial will be in the cemetery nearby.
The pall bearers are: Calhoun Berry, Oliver Clark, Henry Lloyd, Roy Blackwelder, John Ayers and Cliff Crow, who are requested to meet (at) the residence at 12:30.
Rev. Gordon Ezzell and Rev. A. F. Nunn will conduct the services.
