Margaret Hudgens Smith, 81, of Rome, passed away Sunday Nov. 16, 1997. Mrs. Smith was born Aug. 28, 1916 in Rossville. She
was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rome. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ratio Fred Smith; daughter,
Martha Robinson; and a sister Virginia Bovell. Surviving are: two sons, Fred T. Smith of Cedartown and Edd Smith of Acworth;
sister, Helen Starnes of Rossville; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov.
18, at 2 p.m., in the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Edens officiating. Interment followed in
Polk Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations can be made to the Rome First Presbyterian Church. The
Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
