ROME and VICINITY April 5, 1918
Died in North Rome---
J.F. Skelton, aged 77 years and a resident of this city for some time, passed away at 11 o'clock
Friday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G. A. Duncan, no 319 Calhoun avenue. Three sons
and three daughters survive him, all but Mrs. Duncan residing else-where. Mr. Skelton was a veteran
of the Civil War, in which he served as a member of Co E. 68th Indiana-Infantry. The funeral will be
held this afternoon at 4 o'clock from the residence and internment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
