Prominent Farmer Near Lyerly Found Dead Shortly After Shooting
Himself Through Neck
Lyerly, Ga. Jan.4. George Sisson,a well-known farmer of near Lyerly, committed
suicide today by shooting himself through the neck with a pistol, near his
home. When found shortly afterward, he was dead. No cause is known for the
deed, but he had been acting strangely for two or three days. He is survived by
his wife and one child.
