Mrs. Rebecca Lucille "Lucy" Shaw, age 87, of Rome, passed away Friday, September 11, 1998. Mrs. Shaw was born October 18,
1910 in Floyd County. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Rome High School and was
employed by Esserman�s for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur L. and Mattie Lee Van Lloyd. Survivors
include her husband, Edward E. Shaw of Rome; a son, Linton Angle of Albuquerque, N.M.; two grandchildren, Rebecca Angle of
Laredo, Texas and Hammond Angle of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Arthur W. Wallace Lloyd of Rome; and three nieces, Lynn Batts and
Lisa Farless of Rome and Annie Lee Mann of Garland, Texas. Graveside services were held Sunday, September 13, at Mt. Pleasant
Methodist Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Goolsby officiating. Interment followed. West Oak Chapel was in charge of the
arrangements.
