Mrs. Satcher, 73, Passes Today
Mrs. Seany Calloway Satcher, died at the residence, Silver Creek Route 1 at 7:30 a.m. today. She had been in declining health for some time, but seriously
ill for only a few days.
Mrs. Satcher was born in Union County, N.C. July 1, 1870. She was the wife of S. Satcher, who preceded her in death a number of years ago.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. A.L. Branton, of Kingston; Mrs. Arthur Bozeman, and Mrs. A.L. Fricks of Rome, Route 2; Mrs. Doyal Ledbetter, of
Thomaston; Mrs. D.B. Freeman, and Mrs. D.A. Fricks, of Rome; one son, S. A. Satcher of Silver Creek, Route 1; two brothers, W.W. Calloway, of Covington, GA,
C.V. Calloway of Marietta, GA; two sisters, Mrs. B.J. Dawson, of Kingston; Mrs. M.I. Nichols, of Rockmart; thirty-eight grandchildren; two
great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Cross Roads Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Ralph Kimsey. Interment will be in the
adjoining cemetery. Six grandsons will act as pallbearers.
