Mrs. Phillips
MRS. MAUDE MILDRED (DODSON) PHILLIPS, 74, 26 Wallace St,
Rome, died early today in a Rome hospital following an attack suffered earlier.
Born in Walker County, June 05 1906 daughter of the late Ella Bates and John R.
Dodson. she was a member of East Rome Baptist Chruch. Survivors include a
dauther, Mrs. Helen Jarrell, Tallapoosa, four sons Charles Phillips, Alvin
Phillips, William Phillips, all of Rome and Donald Phillips, Douglasville; A
brother Charles Dodson, LaFayette, two sisters, Reo Greene, Trion and Lois
McCauley, Mableton. 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and a number of
nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday at East Rome Baptist
Church with the Revs. Woody Lee and Glenn Boatner officiating. Interment will be
in the family lot at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Grandsons will serve as
