Death Claims Miss Perkins
Funeral conducted by Christian Scientists, and interment will be at Farill

Monday morning at 5 o'clock the spirit of Miss Maggie Perkins took its flight back to the Creator. The end was as tranquil and peaceful as the sparkling waters in the still stream. Without a moan or gasp she gave up submissively the life that had bee hers for so many years.
Miss Perkins had been ill for two months with heart failure and dropsy. And as she was so faithfully ministered to by her loving friends, she was always patient and gentle and kind. When the news of her death was heard over the city, it was very seldom that one was found who had not known her, and to know her was to admire her goodwill, kind deeds and cheery presence.
The services were conducted by the Christian Scientists Monday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the home of her niece, Mrs. D.E. Lowry, on Fifth Avenue. The remains will be carried to Farill, Ala., this morning and the interment will take place there today at the Salem Methodidt cemetery.
She leaves to mourn her loss two sisters, Mrs. Abernathy, of Rome, and Mrs. W.D. Hoyt, of Farrill.
Mrs. D.E. Lowry and Mrs. Charlie Berry are her nieces.
A large concourse of friends extend to these loved ones their sympathy in this hour of sorrow and gloom.
