Mr. Sproull Fouche Nichols
Mr. Sproull Fouche Nichols, age 92, formerly of 102 E. 8th St. passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 10, 2005, in a local hospital.
Mr. Nichols was born in Bartow County on July 17, 1913, son of the late Andrew Jackson Nichols, Sr. and the late Mary Rebecca Martin Nichols. He was a retired self-employed General Contractor, owning and operating Nichols Construction Co. here for over 68 years. He was a licensed general contractor and a master carpenter and was a member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by his parents, by his wife, the former Helen Elizabeth Smith on Aug. 21, 1986, and by a son, John Paul Nichols on Aug. 10, 2005. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Kitty Dodd, Ozell Barton, Annie Bell Nichols and Pauline Litton, and by two brothers, Andrew Jackson "Jack" Nichols, Jr. and Joe Roy Nichols.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Graves, and her husband, Ben, of Rockmart and Nancy Arrington, and her husband Youmans, of Acworth; a son Mike Nichols, and his wife, Lynne of Acworth; a daughter-in-law, Cathy D. Nichols of Gaylesville, Ala; a sister, Lorene Nichols of Lindale; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. John Moates officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in Spring Creek
Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home Saturday from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour.
At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence of a daughter, Carol Graves, 2322 Frettieburg Drive, Rock mart, GA 30153.
Pallbearers are requested to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and include Phil Zealy, Grande Dinero, Tim Rolan, Tony Nichols, Bo Godfrey, Jay Barton and Blu White.
Henderson & Sons Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
