Mrs. Nichols

Mrs. Helen Elizabeth Nichols, 67, of 102 E. Eighth St., died Thursday at the residence after a long illness.
Mrs. Nichols was born in Cherokee County, Aug. 23, 1918, daughter of the late Paul Smith and Nettie Hardin Smith. She was a long-time resident of Floyd County, She was a member of Farrill Baptist Church, Farrill, Ala.
Survivors include her husband, Sproull Nichols, to whom she was married Dec. 24, 1943; two sons, Michael Nichols, Smyrna and John Nichols, Rome; two daughters, Mrs. Carol Graves, Rome, and Mrs. Nancy Arrington, Marrietta; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Lee Henley, Rome and Mrs. Laura Grace Bishop, Rome, nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Fuqua officiating. Interment will be at Spring Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Farrill Steadman, Kenny Lambert, Carl Nichols, Donnie Jones, Brant Smith and Franklin Bishop.
