Mrs. Gustie E. Lewis
Funeral services for Mrs. Gustie E. Lewis 77, Alabama Road, who died Friday following a sudden attack, will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Beech Creek
United Methodist Church with the Revs. Harold Beard, Bob Patterson, and Ralph Broome officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Memorial Gardens.
The body will remain at the funeral home until 1 p.m. today and then will lie in state at the church until time for services. The family will be at the
residence. Active pallbearers are Ronald Hess, Willis Norwood, Edward Holder, Aaron J. Holder, G.B. (Bonnie) Whittle, Sr., W. Ray Cadle, Members of Coosa
Lodge 622 F & AM, Coosa Chpter 412 Order of the Eastern Star and other chapters of O.E.S. in District 2 will serve as an honorary escort.
Mrs. Lewis had spent the greater part of her life in Rome and Floyd County. She was a member of Beech Creek United Methodist Church and Coosa Chapter 412
Order of the Eastern Star. Her husband, John Fredrick Lewis preceded her in death Feb.19,1965. Jennings Funeral home has charge of arrangements.
