Joe Don King
Joe Don King, 38, resident of Rte 7, Old Dalton Road, died at 12:30 a.m. Monday. Born May 16, 1936 in Floyd County, son of Mrs. Cora Brice King and the
late Roland King, he had resided here most of his life and was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and was a contruction worker.
Survivors include one son, Joe Don King, Jr. of Florida, mother, Mrs. Cora King of Rome; three sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Perry and Mrs. Margaret Cagle, both
of Rome, and Mrs. Mary Winslett of Atlanta; two brothers, Herbert King of Rome and Bobby King of Cedartown.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Jennings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James O. Crabb officiating. Interment will be in Oaknoll
Memorial Gardens.
The body will remain at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today. At other hours, they will be at the residence.
Pallbearers include Max Thompson, Charles Dupree, Johnny Ball, Jerry Beard, Bobby Brewer, and Charles Owens.
