J. A. King
J.A. King died Tuesday evening at the home of his grandson, N.J. Wilson;
(should be W.J.) of this county. He was 77 years of age. He was a
confederate veteran and had lived in Floyd County for half a century.
He is survived by his sons, Frank and T. W. King and his daughter, Mrs.
Beulah Wilson, all of Floyd County.
The funeral was held at the Sand Spring Church at 2 o'clock Wednesday
afternoon, with Rev. W.M. McKenzie officiating and interment was in the
church cemetery.
Mr. King was a highly-esteemed citizen of the county with many friends
who will be grieved by his death.
(Note: Jasper A. King, born Nov. 28, 1844, died Nov. 1, 1921)
