Mr. Hyde
Quinn McCarver Hyde, 79, formerly of East 20th Street, died Monday morning in a Rome health care center following an extended illness.
Mr. Hyde was born Aug. 20, 1904 in Floyd County, son of the late James Franklin Hyde and Mary Dillard Hyde and had lived in Rome all of his life. He was retired from Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital and was a member of East Rome Baptist Church.
Mr. Hyde was preceded in death by his wife, Evie Ruth Holbert Hyde, June 7, 1978. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Gwen) Hyde, two sisters, Mrs. Willard (Eva) Agan, Aragon and Mrs. Mattie Penson; one brother, Fred Hyde; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Heritage Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Revs. Bob Patterson and Randy Wheeler officiating.
Interment will follow in the Eastview Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Willard Ledbetter, Ralph Jolly, Robert Robinson, Hubert Cabe. Alfred Dudley and Cillie Warren.
