John Dan Hyde

John Dan Hyde 58, Rydal Rte. 1, died Monday at the residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Hyde was born July 1, 1914 in Bartow County; son of the late John and Louise Glenn Hyde, and had resided in Kingston for 23 years. He moved to Rydal one year ago. He was a member of the Connesena Baptist Church and prior to retirement in 1968 was employed by the L & N Railway Company for 27 years.
Survivors include his wife, the former Lillian Paulene West, to whom he was married Nov. 28, 1936; two sons, Jerry Lewis Hyde and Randall Lavone Hyde, both of Rydall Rte. 1; two daughters, Mrs. Billy Evans, Cartersville Rte. 3 and Mrs. Melvin Kilgore, Kingston; three sisters, Mrs. Luther Nichols, and Mrs. Walter Tolbert, both of Rome, and Mrs. Hiram Lee; Cedartown; two brothers, Hiram Hyde, Rome and Henry Hyde, Armuchee; two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Connesena Baptist Church with the Revs. George Stewart and Joe Garrett officiating.
Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the residence.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Barton-Jennings-Coulter Funeral Home of Adairsville has charge of arrangements.
