John P. Holloway
John P. Holloway, 679 of 528 1/2 Branham Ave., died Saturday morning in a Rome hospital following an extended illness.
He was born in Rome June 11, 1903, the son of the late Joseph J. and Margaret Kane Holloway. Mr. Holloway was a member of the Saint Mary's Catholic
Church and a veteran of World War II. Four sisters and three brothers died earlier.
Survivors include one sister, Pat Holloway of Rome; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be recited at the chapel of Daniel's Funeral Home at 7 p.m. today. Requiem Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Monday in Saint Mary's Catholic
Church, Father Edward O'Connor officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Steve Holloway, Jim Holloway, Bob Holloway, Robert Jackson, Leon Newman and Billy Coker.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home and the family will receive friends at the residence of his sister, Miss Pat Holloway, 515 Harper Ave.
Daniel's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
