Mrs. Etta Virginia Herrin
Mrs. Etta Virginia Herrin, 106, 2004 Flannery St., died Sunday evening at the residence after a long illness.
Mrs. Herrin was a native of Resaca, born Oct. 11, 1879, daughter of the late James Hiram Dodd and Dorcas Maria Carnes Dodd. She was a member of the
Macedonia Baptist Church. Mrs. Herrin was preceded in death by her husband, Anderson Samuel Herrin, July 5, 1941.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Alma Dempsey, Rome; 18 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Macedonia Baptist Church with the Revs. Bob Patterson and Ralph Dingler and Howard Moses
officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
Pallbearers are Wesley Willis, Roger Dempsey, George Dempsey, Wayne Smith, Darrell Smith, and Frank Abrams.
