Charles Alfred Harrison, 68,, 114 Donley Drive, died Wednesday evening at a Rome hospital. Mr. Harrison was born in Clifty, Tenn., June 10, 1917, son of the late Arthur Luther Harrison and Mary Parson Harrison. He had been a resident of Floyd County, since 1950, having moved from Chattanooga, Tenn. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Trend Mills for 16 years as a long-distance truck driver. He was a member of Redmond Road Church of Christ and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nannie Lee Harrison, to whom he was married July 12, 1947; a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Brinkley, Rome; a son, Master Sergeant Charles Edward Harrison, Edwards Air force Base, California; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Walden, Ft. Oglethorpe, and Mrs. Ileen Edgemon, Chattanooga, Tenn.; three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at West Oak Chapel of Youngblood & Jennings Funeral Home with Ministers Jeff Harward and Tommy Poarch officiating. Interment will be at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
