Melvin C. Green Dies At His Home In Texas Valley
Melvin C. Green, 64, died late Sunday evening at his home in Texas
Valley, where he was born and lived all his life. He was a prominent and highly respected
citizen of his section of the county.
Mr. Green is survived by his widow, and the following children: Mrs. G.
W. Boggs, Mrs. A.C. Wilson, H. C. Green, all of Texas Valley, and M.O. Green of
Calhoun. Also surviving are a brother, H. J. Green, a sister Mrs. A.C. Avery of Rome,
and a number of grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at Sand Springs Church at 11 o'clock
Tuesday morning by Rev. W. M. McKenzie. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
The following friends will act as pallbearers: A. L. Dempsey, G.P.
Anderson, W.S. Evans, Lum Espy, Buy Espy, and L. T. Rhinehart.
