Henry Green Dies at 71

Henry Jasper Green, 71, died at 8:45 last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Guy Fuller on East Eighth Street. Born in Texas Valley, May 6, 1874, he had spent his entire life in Rome and Floyd County.
Surviving are his widow, the former Sarah Elizabeth Tolbert; six daughters, Mrs. Guy Fuller, Mrs. John McGinnis, Mrs. D.T. Wilkerson, all of Rome, Mrs. A. C. Buffington of Texas Valley, Mrs. H.W. Wallace of Little Rock, Ark. and Mrs. Terrell Flippin of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sons, Henry Jasper and W. C. Green, both of Rome; 25 grand children and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Sand Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. W. F. Conn officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
The remains will rest at the residence from tomorrow morning until 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, when the cortege will leave for the Sand Springs Church.)
